The project comprised of the office fit out of floors two and three of the prestigious 123 Victoria Street development, to accommodate the extension of the John Lewis Partnership head office operations.
The mechanical and electrical services consisted of high specification lighting systems controlled through DALI lighting control systems to provide a flexible lighting solution to the various spaces within the office areas.
Extensive Underfloor busbar systems have been provided throughout the spaces to serve under desk power distribution units, Fire alarm system modifications, TV systems and specialist comms room systems have also been installed, together with containment for specialist client systems.
New roof mounted Chillers to the level six roof plant area have been provided, together with upgraded LTHW and CHW pipework, serving additional and relocated fan coil units. A new kitchen supply and extract ventilation system has been provided together with associated domestic water services and gas supplies.
Shutdowns had to be carefully co-ordinated with the landlord’s to ensure minimal disruption to other building users.
The mechanical and electrical services for this project were delivered successfully within a tight program and in accordance with both the landlord’s and JLP’s requirements, in the challenging environment of central London.
